Original artwork description:

Walking on the fells is my passion and this particular valley is completely unspoilt. After several miles of walking with breath taking views constantly changing, we started to catch glimpses of the lake Windemere as the road descended down The Struggle . I sketched it, made colour notes and photographed the moment. I wanted to capture the play of light which is so fleeting in an oil painting.

On returning to the studio I worked on the composition and started to produce the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.

To The Lake original oil painting created and painted by myself. The Artwork is framed in a white grained wood with a simple moulding. The back of the artwork is signed and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
