The View from Monsal Head in Derbyshire is a landscape painting by Mary Kemp.
This is the view I saw when we sat looking down the valley. I drew several sketches and then went back to the studio while the image was still in my head.
I got quite excited about how green the hills were. It was as though we were bathed in colour and I felt I just had to celebrate that intensity of green.
