This artwork has been submitted into the Artfinder/Liquitex competition based on muted colours. I loved playing with a range of greens and purple to get the depth of the lake here.
The idea for "The Secret garden" came to me from visiting is a little known park just across from where I live in Milan. The disused pool I've depicted here, with a lot of artistic license, is so suggestive and I like to lean on the stone wall and think my thoughts.
The painting is on a strongly structured gallery wrapped, deep edged, canvas, Strung at the back and ready-to-hang in your own home. I've enclosed a few in context images in an attempt to show the actual presence of the painting on the wall.
