It was 1962 when Marilyn Monroe sung onstage Happy birthday Mr president to JFK. Whoever saw that will never forget it. It is one of the many iconic moments Marilyn's short life has given to us.
Marilyn has such a beautiful face but it isn't really so easy to capture the vulnerability of the woman under the silver screen diva image. I hope to have done that in this painting of her.
The borders are painted black for immediate hanging if preferred.
