The Marsh pool on the Dorset heath
The sky cleared mid afternoon in February after the rain,
Alluring blues that reflected into the water,
Immersing myself in a wild and beautiful haven,
The scent of the pines, gorse and sea salt air,
I couldn’t be in a better place.

Words and expression of being here recently on a walk in the Isle of Purbecks.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured cold pressed watercolour paper 425 gsm 200lb bockingford.
I used a wet on wet washes for the background with my Chinese hake brush. While the paper was wet I mapped out with markings over the wet on wet washes, pressing and dragging the paint on. Used my little finger nail to etch out in areas.
