Artist's description:

I loved this project. Around 2010 I came upon a small village in Macedonian mountains where a group of men still continue the tradition of burning lime in clay ovens. Those ovens have stood there for decades and centuries before, reptedly exposed to fire day after day, week after week, generation after generation. I stayed with the people and took a number of photographs of the inside of these structures, fascinated by the colours and textures of them. I love how the resulting photos manage to combine unreal, abstract-like feeling with a sense of extreme groundedness on the other hand

The work is printed on Hahnemuhle paper, in a limited edition of 3 exemplars, each hand-signed and numbered.
