This is an original encaustic painting on a cradled birch panel. This abstract fluid painting was created with multiple translucent layers of encaustic paint including mars black, red, iridescent silver and pearl and a little blue. It includes relief gestural markings from scraping into the wax. The surface has been buffed to a high gloss.
Signed and dated on the back and wired for hanging. This painting has clean birch sides and does not need to be framed which is standard for contemporary encaustic.
