Based on the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson, this piece depicts the Prince, saved by a Mermaid in a storm which wrecked his ship. And of course, the Mermaid herself, an innocent maiden who loves the prince dearly and will do anything to be by his side, but her love is unfortunately unrequited and she pays the ultimate sacrifice for her love of a human. This piece is part of the Literary Characters collection.
