The Land of the Golden Sand is an original painting inspired by the meeting of sea, sunlight and warm golden land.

A glowing sun sits low above the horizon, surrounded by turquoise water and a richly textured landscape of blue, gold, ochre and warm earth tones. Rather than describing one particular place literally, I wanted to capture the feeling of being somewhere touched by intense sunlight, where the colours of the sea and land seem to become part of one another.

The surface is built through expressive layers, marks and textured passages, allowing different colours and shapes to emerge and disappear across the composition. The contrast between the cool turquoise blues and the luminous golden areas gives the painting both energy and warmth.

For me, The Land of the Golden Sand is about light, colour and the feeling of discovering a place that exists somewhere between a real landscape and the imagination.
