I painted this after a day plein air sketching and taking photographs in the beautiful Rottingdean area near Brighton. The seas were moody and intense, though calm and the sense of solitary space one often feels near deserted beaches is what I have tried to capture with the girl looking out toward the distant horizon. The painting is strung, ready to hang but will need framing.
