The portrait of an Ionic order column sends back to an ancient architectural background. The subject turns itself from a faint light into a bright flash on the right. The photographical composition has a vertical format. Light and dark contrasts express quiet and stillness, producing motion toward the right side of the photo. The ultimate aim of this artwork is to fix the instant that precedes innovation, in other words, the instant of self-overcoming.
