I channel my enthusiasm for the amazing characteristics of animals by rendering them with academic oil painting techniques on canvas. The red sun is a symbol of life & the universe. The background is ice grey.

These exotic birds have enormous bills and an attractive colorful appearance. The bill's structure is formed by a highly organized matrix of thin crisscrossed bony 'rods', filled in with a spongy form of keratin. For that reason surprisingly light for its size. Their feathers are mostly black, having a very yellowish color that covers their chest, and around their eyes are green. The common name “toucan” comes from the sound the birds make, they are among the world’s noisiest birds. When they sing, they sound like frogs croaking.
