Taos Pueblo in northern New Mexico, the quintessential example of pueblo architecture. "Santa Fe or Pueblo style" was based on these and other pueblos in New Mexico. The organic nature of the masses was created as new rooms were added as the population grew.

Open skies, storms coming in, sweeping vistas, mountains and grasslands all call for broad strokes and bold light and shadows. I strive for an economy of color and execution that can bring a landscape to life.
