This small oil painting was inspired by a visit to the 18th century George pub which sits on the banks of the river Avon in Fordingbridge, Hampshire. The pub terrace has a good view of the river and the bridge with its six arches. When two swans moved up the river it completed the scene. The frame is a traditional dull gold with a light slip.
