Original artwork description:

The Atheneum, Charles de Gaulle statue, Edward 8 on horseback and a monument to Elizabeth the Queen Mother are, amongst the many attractions above the steps leading to the Mall, just down a bit from Piccadilly Circus. It reminded me of the wonderful New England mansions with balcony terraces and lonely ladies of the street painted by Edward Hopper and depicted musically in my memory of Aaron Copland's Quiet City. The main difference apart from the media is my addition of rushing wildlife and unreal shadows and an even more quirky point of view.

Materials used:

Paper, collage, charcoal, watercolour, Gum Arabic
