Summer blue skies constrasting with puffy white clouds ranging above the coastline of the Ardamurchan penisula on an utterly beautiful day in Scotland. This is why so many people come north to sail in these fascinating waters, me included. When the weather is like this, there is nowhere more interesting with the hundreds of islands and intricate coast.
I painted this from an anchorage on the Isle of Muck looking across the Sound of Morar. One of my favourite places. More paintings of the island coming to my site soon!
