Dark storm clouds looming over a a rough churning seascape is the perfect metaphor for those of us who have dark moods. The Threat seems imminent and it may be a force we can not control. The power of the ocean and weather systems reminds us that we are very small in comparison. I'm constantly fascinated by the forces of nature the drama and beauty of our landscape and seascape.
Thick oil paint was applied to the canvas using mostly with paint knives to build up the texture. The transference from artist to the canvas is very satisfying.

This painting is on a stretched canvas the sides are painted black and a hanging wire is fitted to the back.
