This little beauty is painted on homemade 500lb flax paper. I primed the paper with hide glue and matte acrylic gel before applying oils so to reveal the paper's aesthetic presence while also preserving its archival qualities. It was painted after a delightful boat ride on the Winnipeg River in early spring,
