This painting represents inner struggle.
A fight, a build-up of energy coming from the pit of the stomach, feeding tension in the muscles, moving up through the heart until it can be contained no more. A moment of peace is won through - a breath - a tear - a shift in consciousness - to the release.
The collapse into stillness.
