I've subtitled this one Still Life? It is quite recent, having been completed in November 2020. Again it's the colour palette that I start with - Indigo, Paynes Grey, White, Turquoise and Yellow Lake Deep (a favourite of mine). I start the work in an intuitive fashion. Making marks that may or may not show through at the end of the painting. Then layering and scraping off, until something starts to emerge. This time, there seemed to be a still life with a wine glass? Perhaps it was Friday and thinking about the weekend, ha, ha. My studio is a wooden shed at the bottom of the garden and its is often cold to work in. Steamy windows describes the condensation on the windows.
