He's part of the CalbinoOz family, sculptures made from natural gourd wood. Its original tail is made from the dried urn of a carnivorous plant called nepenthes.
The calabash that makes up the bird's body has not been emptied of its seeds, but like most calabash wood, it is very light.
The bird can land vertically or horizontally, as you like!
Materials: dried natural calabash wood, dried nepenthe urn, surfine wood pulp, acrylic paint, water-soluble oil paint, marine varnish.
