Original artwork description:

Another in the series of Soft Borders - six so far. This piece is all about colour and texture. I love using the orange and turquoise together, they are so vibrant and make me happy just looking at them. This then is an emotional response, rather than any direction image representation. Lots of layers on here, working on a square wooden panel again, another favourite orientation and support. I read somewhere that Willem de Kooning worked square and had an easel that could be turned so that he could work on the piece from every angle. I don't have a studio big enough to work on such large pieces, but it is good to be able to see the image from different orientations.

Materials used:

Oils and Cold wax Medium
