Artwork description:

"We are never real historians, but always near poets, and our emotion is nothing but an expression of poetry that was lost." (from Gaston Bachelard, 'The Poetics of Space').

From the series "In Defense of Daydreaming", in which I am exploring the use of photography to express poetic themes, 'so shelter me' is a simple expression of a basic human need for love, compassion, and shelter.

This black and white series of photographs is shot exclusively in black and white on very fine grain film, with an ancient but beloved TLR Rolleiflex camera. The film is then scanned and the final image assembled in the digital darkroom.

Please note that artwork is supplied unmounted, but a mount cut to any size can also be supplied at a small additional cost. For certain works, different size requests can be accommodated. Please contact me for details.

This artwork will be printed with a half inch white border unless otherwise requested.

All limited edition artworks now include an archival, signed limited edition label on the back of the print.

Materials used:

Giclée fine art photographic print using archival inks on 310gsm Hahnemuhle German Etching archival fine art paper
