This is a unique handmade sculpture of a Highland Cow with his head back as though he is calling to the herd. He is made with non-tarnish silver-plated wires of various gauges woven individually together to build up a sturdy shape which will look great on a desk or shelf. He is inspired by the cows that roam the moorlands near my home in the Yorkshire Dales.
The silver catches the light beautifully and the spaces between the weave allow light to flow through and cast intricate shadows in low or candle light. The monochrome image helps show the individual strands of wire and how they interlock together.
My work is inspired by animals and nature, and I also work in copper wire.
