This abstract landscape painting is one out of a small series of landscape paintings done on a trip to the outer hebrides (Scotland) in 2019. The paintings combine watercolor, gouache and pencil.

This painting was done on the Isle of Lewis at Kneep Sands - a wonderful local beach. It reflects the atmosphere at the beach and reflects various blues and greens of the sea around Lewis. It has actually particles of sand from the beach included in the color.

The paintings of this series show a strong combination of pencil drawing and watercolors, giving them quite some expressive dynamic.
