The silver teapot is one of a pair which I bought in the medina in Morocco twenty two years ago, it is traditionally used to serve the refreshing mint tea. We were staying with my husband's family in Tangier, celebrating our marriage with a Moroccan wedding party which lasted several days. The celebrations started with the women's party (hen night) We spent hours in laughter and women's talk, drinking Na ana (mint tea with jasmin) and eating halwa (moroccan sweet pastires filled with crushed almonds and flavoured with honey and orange flower water) a henna artist came to visit the house to decorate our hands with henna.
