It was the night of the general election. I had a canvas stretched ready on the boards, I was all set to paint something colourful - and then I stayed up all night listening to the results. It stayed black...

It hangs on four eyelet holes along the top. The edges are rough, it adds to the rawness of the image. It is not supposed to look pretty!
