Free interpretation of the original masterpiece sketch made in 1883, in The Hague. The period in which the master was just getting started as a painter. At the time he was mostly making drawings, and the occasional oil painting. A homage to the great Dutch Master. I have painted a frame on the canvas. This is one of a series made back in the year 2000, to honor the genius of Vincent Van Gogh.
