Original artwork description:

This painting is a sister piece to a previous work dealing with the colors and depth painted by the setting sun. The work is set in Greenwich Park , which is close to where I live in London, and was close to my studio which at that time was located at the bottom of the hill from which I painted this work. I really wanted to capture the presence of the trees as they slowly sank away from those last bursts of sun as it set for the day. I wanted to keep the colors vibrant and idealistic and this work was the result of frequent trips to the park seeking both calm and inspiration, color notes, and photographic references.

Materials used:

Oil paint on linen canvas
