In this painting, I wanted to evoke peace-- particularly the kind that comes with fresh, outdoor living in the mountains. I also spent a great deal of time studying and learning from the old masters of Hudson River painting, particularly Albert Bierstadt. There is tranquility and depth in the works of these artists. I want to partake in those elements also.
Serenity in Idaho gives a sense of calmness, and a feeling that one can gaze into the distance forever.
