One of my earliest childhood memories: standing near water's edge, watching ocean waves crash into rocks, their incredible roar drowning out my mother's plea of not getting too close, mesmerized by their rhythmic surges, watching ocean spray soar into the sky as its mist danced over my bare skin, and thinking, "I could stay here forever." The ocean will always be my first love.
