I draw inspiration from a wide range of sources – sometimes it’s a specific color or the material itself that speaks to me. Other times, it’s impressions from my surroundings or nature that find their way into my work.
Each painting begins with an idea, but as the process unfolds, a dynamic dialogue develops between myself and the artwork. The piece starts to take on a life of its own – shifting, evolving, and at times guiding me in unexpected directions. The original idea may recede, giving way to new forms of expression.
My creative process is a balance of spontaneity and thoughtful intention. This tension is reflected in the energy and vitality of the finished pieces. They carry the immediacy of their creation within them – and pass that on to the viewer.
