Original artwork description:

This large mixed media painting has lots of texture. Created on a sturdy, handmade box canvas this abstract seascape is inspired by my walks along the shoreline of the Dee estuary.
As I walk along the beach I love to collect sea glass. These smooth pieces of glass are from broken bottles, jars and glass that have been discarded by man, left on the beach and then reclaimed by nature, recycled by the sea.
It can take many years for the broken pieces of glass left on the shore to loose their sharp edges and become smooth and tactile as they are rolled by the waves and strong currents of the seas and oceans. Slowly the surface of the glass loses it's shine and becomes pitted and frosty.
Today because of the use of plastic bottles and containers and recycling there is far less glass tumbling in our seas and oceans.
The painting has white painted sides so there is no need for framing. It has ben signed on the side and is fitted with D rings and chord so is ready to hang.
