Artist's description:

I've only ever seen Tower Bridge open once before, so, when I was on my way home across the adjacent London Bridge and the sight of a sailing ship in the distance caught my eye, I decided to hang around a while.

It was worth the wait because after half an hour of battling with the tide, the German Tall Ship, the Alexander Von Humboldt ll, passed through the open bridge at full sail. A majestic sight.
