This quiet place along the banks of the Boise River is close to home and close to my heart. I spend all the time here I can squeeze in. It was inevitable I'd eventually paint it more than once.
A lot of palette knife work went into the trees and foreground to convey their rugged beauty. The river, in contrast, is serene in the summertime, forming calm ripples as it glides past the rocky embankment.
