Mixed media on stretched canvas.

60 by 60 cm.

Inspired by a recent trip into the countryside when I realised I had not really taken any notice of butterflies. I don't do detailed paintings that look like photographs, I do texture and colour and light. Something that catches the eye from a distance, and hopefully transforms into something quite different when closer.

I've signed it on the side.
