Artist's description:

These magical birds swoop and dive in flight, catching their food on the wing, with their distinctive racket tails fluttering behind them. They are fairly common in Asia and are lovely to watch. Drongos are totally black, and I decided to use an aquatint etching technique to show the depth of textures you can achieve with using one colour.

Materials used:

Fabriano printmaking paper, Charbonnel etching ink
