A rocky outcrop above the village of Grazalema in the southern province of Spain, Andalucia. This beautiful area is in the centre of a National Park with stunning vistas and wonderful walks all around.
I painted this in the sunshine although it was quite windy and the board on my easel kept blowing away. It was a joy to be able to paint out of doors though without freezing temperatures.
Painted with the amazing Golden Open Acrylics which are very similar to oil but are much easier to handle when travelling around, away from the studio.
This painting is beautifully framed with a beech frame which is lime waxed with a wide cream top quality mount. The glass is museum non-reflective art glass.
