Passion is a drug ; On one side it is an addictive magical feeling. Feeling closer to someone than you have ever been... This is represented by the close bond linking two people in the centre of the painting.
On the downside, with passion comes pain. The closeness creates tension on the long run since personnalities can only be on phase for a short moment in time. This is represented by the characters on the outside of the painting where we see the personnalities (grey and black lines) divide in opposite directions.
