Artwork description:
This is a linocut and monotype of one of my most favourite cities.
In this version of my Paris Rooftop edition I have tried to give an artistic representation of my many memories of looking out from a Parisien balcony in the evenings and seeing the life of this beautiful city still abuzz with activity but under the backdrop of a night sky.
As all my work is hand-pressed you may find faint marks and creases around the artwork, these can be hidden when framed.
This is a reworked linocut print I made a while ago but which I never properly editioned. I will be making only 12 of “Paris Rooftop” series and they will all be slightly different due to the way I work on each piece individually.
Materials used:
Somerset satin 250gsm oil based inks
