A really private back wall of a little restaurant in Corondo, Panama. Again and again these scenes inspire my work. The patterns and shadows on the wall almost have no meaning - you can’t put any sense to them. The Blue is where the Pink has pealed off and revealed a previous paint level. The colours just sing. Sketched and photographed on site then painted once back home. This painting was a finalist in the Artist of the Year competition 2013 organised by the Artists and Illustrators Magazine, and exhibited in the Mall Galleries in January 2014. It is painted in the best quality oil paints on a fine cotton canvas and finished with a coat of varnish to protect it from all possible circumstances. It is framed in a classic float frame. It will be shipped in a cardboard and polistyrene case for protection and lightness.
