Artist's description:

A really private back wall of a little restaurant in Corondo, Panama. Again and again these scenes inspire my work. The patterns and shadows on the wall almost have no meaning - you can’t put any sense to them. The Blue is where the Pink has pealed off and revealed a previous paint level. The colours just sing. Sketched and photographed on site then painted once back home. This painting was a finalist in the Artist of the Year competition 2013 organised by the Artists and Illustrators Magazine, and exhibited in the Mall Galleries in January 2014. It has a float frame for protection.

Materials used:

oil paints and oil mediums, varnish
