This is a little gem-like watercolour of one of her ‘scrappy flower arrangements’ with loose watercolour washes. She does a wash over pen and ink and there is a marriage of design with an overlay of mingling colours. She searches gardens and hedgerows for seasonal colour, for berries and flowers, and in this case ornamental apples.

Artists watercolours, 300gsm 100% watercolour paper, waxed and stretched over a panel
