Artist's description:

This acrylic painting was made last year while travelling around France in our camper van. We stayed overnight at lots of vineyards which had special parking for camping visitors. It was a wonderful opportunity to see the vines being pruned, speak French with the owners and of course sample the wine. These olive trees were in one of the gardens so I had a perfect view to paint.
I used acrylic paint in a sketchy style with lots of dabs of paint to try to capture the effect of the lovely silver leaves. It is painted on Daler Rowney acrylic paper which can be mounted like a watercolour or framed like an oil painting.
Wrapped in tissue and rolled in a strong tube.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint and charcoal
