This painting is the first of a series.
It is inspired by a sketchbook that I kept while on a ship travelling up to the far north of the Norwegian coastline. The Nordic sea and landscapes were extraordinary and the sketchbook studies are a real record of that journey.

The painting is framed in a contemporary style wooden box style.
It is painted a soft white.
The artwork is ready to hang.
