This painting is of a clump of Scots Pine trees in a beautiful rural park in East Sussex. My drawings of the trees were done on a day that was at one moment wintry and the next, fleeting sunlight. I have used a palette of soft greens and complimentary soft pinks that are ever present in my local Sussex landscape.
