Original artwork description:

It was all flying mud and sand at this motocross event. Each time a rider went around it got harder and harder not to get bogged down in the ruts. The spray was flying off of the wheels. Camera needed a really good clean after this Sunday meet. Capturing the moment that determination and persistence were required to get the bike round this turn.

Acrylic painted by brush on an 80 x 60 x 3.5 cm canvas. The splatter moments very difficult as in a temporary studio and had to create a protected area! A dark aubergine/mauve on the edge of the canvas stretcher. D-rings and hanging cord attached. Ready-to- hang.

Net proceeds from the sale of this piece will go to Crohns & Colitis UK. I was diagnosed with Crohns in 1988.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint with some gloss medium, on 3.5 cm deep stretched canvas, gesso primed.
