Inspired by a walking/sketching trip to Cornwall, this semi-abstract interpretation of Mousehole harbour shows the ebbing tide. As the water flows out of the basin-like harbour, the ropes across the beach and mud are dragged into wonderful directional lines. The texture on the inshore foreground is created using found/discarded plastic objects as a subtle reminder of the impact our continued plastic usage has on the marine environment.
This textural piece is painted on a box canvas and ready to hang.
