Two women sharing love - a mother and a daughter, standing close together, hair flowing upwards, sharing a radiating golden heart, cupped in their hands. Tiny hearts and tear-drop jewellery abound.
This image is calm and warm with subtle shades of pink, yellow and soft skin tones.
My daughter had not long left home for university when I created this but I am also aware of the influence of Greek sculpture, particularly their wonderful suggstion of drapery on stone. Here I have suggested fine, transparent dresses.
It is a large pastel drawing on Somerset 300 gsm textured paper with a deckled edge and would make a wonderful centrepiece in a room.
It has never been exhibited and dates from 2004. Signed bottom right.
I have added some photgraphs in situ and one with an ipad and pencils to show the scale.
Packaged flat and sent by tracked postage.
