Original artwork description:

Way before the tourists arrived (OK, I admit it, I was one of them), I was on the beach and painting.

Pastels allow a direct approach to capture the fleeting light effects quickly. Soft Summer light of dawn doesn't stay around with you for long so an immediate media such as pastel is ideal.

Checking the tide patterns is also about the planning, as is scouting out the best locations to paint in advance so you know exactly were to be and when.

A fine example of graphic drawing and pastel painting in one in this piece. The warm undertone of the support - Canson Mi-Tientes 'Touch' 350gsm ('Sand') pastel paper was the perfect choice for this lovely warm glow in this expressive pastel painting of Church Bay on the Welsh coast of Anglesey.

When buying this painting it will be dispatched carefully packaged in a large thick cardboard box with the artwork generously mounted (3 inch surrounding the artwork at least) and cellophane wrapped with a back board secured behind the artwork that is the full size of the mount.

The original mounted artwork will then be placed between sheets of thick cardboard. Further cushioning with bubble wrap will be included to the sides of the artwork in the box to protect it.

I will sent via a tracked courier, insured to the value of the artwork.
Shipping inside the UK is provided by TNT or UPS or even Parcel Force (approx 1 working day from dispatch).
Shipping inside Europe is provided by DPD or UPS (approx 2/3 working days from dispatch).
