Montreuil lies between Saint Mandé and Bagnolet, 4 miles from the centre of Paris. It is a place of energy and creativity, a lively mix of the commercial, academic, recreational and residential. The headquarters of Ubisoft is here and there is a tradition of innovative photography and film making. The illustrator Bernard Verlhac (1957-2015) aka Tignous, was resident here, killed in the Charlie Hebdo shootings.
